This is the second release in our Bourbon Barrel Series, and our most requested barrel-aged mead!

After half a year in Village Garage Distillery Bourbon barrels, this Vanir has taken on the most incredibly complex character that we've ever had in a mead.

If you buy just one mead this year, honestly, it should be this one. We only snagged two barrels for this batch, so our stock is super limited.

Color - Like honey pulled directly from the comb

Aroma - Straight bourbon in a rocks glass, neat, followed by wildflowers

Flavor - The warmth of bourbon comes through in the front and middle, followed by honey with a dry, smooth finish

Closest Comparison - If those honey bourbons were really, really good, this is what they could hope to be

Bourbon barrel aged goodness

Bourbon aged Vanir is another creative twist from the team that brought us Oak Aged Valkyrie & Root of all Evil Maple. The BA Vanir is a sweet & flavorful edition to the traditional meads from G&H. I really enjoyed the notes of vanilla & light syrup like that of a true bourbon. Compared to the standard Vanir, it is sweeter & less dry. Quite similar to a bourbon barrel beer. Highly recommend at least one bottle & hopefully these style of meads will continue to rotate in their selection.
